Volume, voltage, what ships with the unit and how far the range actually goes.
How do we size the generator?
From the room volume rather than the model name. The volume published in each generator row is the room that model is intended for, and a larger room takes the next model up.
If your volume falls between two rows, the larger model is the one to specify.
Which voltage and phase do we need?
The ST range is 220 V single phase. The FAN range is available in 220 / 380 V with 1 / 3 phase options. Electrical configuration — voltage, phase and frequency — is specified against the destination market before production.
A 220 V unit must not be connected to a 380 V supply: the over-voltage damages the heating element and the circuit board. A 380 V unit on a 220 V supply is the safe direction, but it runs well below its rated output.
What comes with the generator?
A controller, a sensor, a steam conduit, a nozzle and a safety valve.
Can one controller run more than one unit?
Yes. One controller drives the generator and can also drive linked units, so a large commercial room can be run from a single panel.
The controllers for the ST30–180 generators are the ST-135, ST-135A, ST-135M and ST-135T. The ST-17 control panel carries a digital temperature display in 304 stainless.
What does the range go up to?
The table on this page is the range we publish in full, not the range we build. The ST range continues to ST-180 and the FAN range to 7.5 kW and above for commercial installations.

Is the equipment tested before it is packed?
Every electrical unit is powered up and run before it is packed: the steam generator has to produce steam and water correctly, and the controller display and keys have to respond. Packing follows that check.
A pre-shipment inspection record is kept with the order.
